SIMPSON RACE PRODUCTS AUSTRALIA has recently signed an agreement with RALLY NSW as their official Safety Equipment Partner for 2014 and beyond.

With the growing emphasis on safety in rallying and Simpson's continual involvement in the sport, after being approached by Rally NSW, Simpson's Greg Yard decided to assist in the rebuilding of Rallying in NSW by offering our support to the new team headed by Colin Fletcher.

The level of support will be offered to all Rally competitors via personal and vehicle safety advise, product sales, financial support filtered back into Rally NSW and it's competitors and Event Service Park support.

From club Rallysprints to Development series to State Championship and the NSW round of the World Rally Championship, we offer many suitable products from not only Simpson but other leading brands such as Toorace, Stilo, Willans, Grayston, Avanti to name just a few.

A gala 2014 Rally NSW Launch Party is scheduled for February 15 in Parramatta with the huge season opener, The National Capitol Rally in Canberra, just weeks away on Feb 28 through March 2. This sees the first rounds of both the National Australian Rally Championship and NSW Rally Championship.

You can find us in the Service Park during the event or call prior with your requirements.

As 2014 rolls around the first meeting of the year for Simpson will be the CAMS Come-and-Try day at Sydney Motorsport Park January 18.

Here we will be offering our safety advise and guidance to people interested in competing in a discipline of motorsport of their choosing, with many represented at this informative day organised by CAMS NSW from race vehicles to rally cars to off road, hillclimb, drifting.

Simpson will have a display of much of the safety equipment required for these events, helmets, driving suits, gloves harnesses, head and neck restraints to incidentals such as return springs which can be equally important and many other products to consider.

See Greg Yard there for any questions or advise on the correct attire for your motorsport requirements. He can be contacted on 02 9545 6662 prior to the event.

September 18, 2013.  Simpson Safety Australia has been granted approval to recertify Safety Solutions / Simpson branded R3, Hutchens II and Hybrid Head and Neck Restraints to SFI 38.1 criteria.

Competitors racing with an SFI 38.1 Head and Neck Restraint device must have their device recertified every 5 years from the date shown on the existing SFI label, in order to receive a new conformance label to keep their device valid for racing.

Devices will be inspected for wear and in most cases will require replacement of the Tether system, Shoulder rubbers etc in line with SFI guidelines before being validated with a new SFI 38.1 label.

What this means for Australian and New Zealand competitors is that they can have their devices recertified locally, saving on costs both in dollar terms and time rather than having to ship back and forth to the US with it's associated risks.

Recertification also means that competitors do not need to go out and buy a new device, thus saving them money.

Further information can be found in the 'Head and Neck Restraints' product section.
